Privacy Policy

Who this applies to

People who create a DriveOdo account, join a garage, or install the iOS or Android app. DriveOdo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Information we collect

• Account. Email address, name, and sign-in identifiers when you use email, Apple, or Google sign-in.
• Garage and vehicles. Vehicle nicknames, type, fuel, odometer, photos you add, and maintenance components you track.
• Trips and location. GPS points, distance, speed, and timestamps when you record a trip or enable Auto-Track. Background location is used only to detect and record drives for the vehicle you select.
• Purchases. Subscription status and product identifiers through Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card number.
• Notifications. An Expo push token if you allow notifications, so we can send maintenance and trip alerts you opt into.
• Device and diagnostics. App version, platform, and crash or error logs needed to keep the service working.

How we use information

• Provide trip recording, odometer updates, and maintenance reminders.
• Sync your garage across devices and with members you invite.
• Unlock Premium features and enforce the free trip allowance.
• Send transactional email (invites, password reset) and optional alerts.
• Secure the service, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

Who we share with

We share data with processors that help us run DriveOdo, only as needed for those services:

• Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage).
• RevenueCat, Apple, and Google (in-app purchases).
• Expo (push delivery and app updates).
• Map providers (to render maps from coordinates you recorded).
• Email delivery for invites and account messages.

Garage members you invite can see vehicles, trips, and maintenance for that garage. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

We keep account and garage data while your account is active. Trip points may be simplified or removed according to our retention rules. You can delete vehicles or ask us to delete your account; residual backups expire on a normal backup cycle. Store receipts are retained by Apple or Google under their policies.

Your choices

• Decline or later revoke location and notification permissions in system settings.
• Turn Auto-Track off. Manual trip recording still requires location while a trip is active.
• Leave a garage or delete vehicles you own, subject to role permissions.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of your account data via driveodo8@gmail.com.

International transfers

We use cloud providers that may process data in the United States and other countries. If you use DriveOdo from the EEA, UK, or similar regions, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those processors.
